What Is OHGO?

OHGO is Ohio’s free real-time transportation platform, operated by ODOT. It is available as a website at ohgo.com and as a free mobile app on iOS and Android. For truckers, it is the single most useful state DOT tool in the country.

Live Incidents: Check OHGO.com for current incidents, construction, and weather conditions across Ohio. (Live OHGO data coming soon.)

Key Features for Truckers

Real-Time Truck Parking

OHGO provides live truck parking availability data across Ohio rest areas and service plazas. The app shows:

  • Available spaces at each location
  • Total capacity
  • Last updated timestamp
  • Location on map

This is critical for planning stops on I-70, I-71, I-75, and the Turnpike where parking fills up quickly during peak hours.

Traffic Cameras

Hundreds of traffic cameras across Ohio’s highway system stream live video through OHGO. You can check conditions at key interchanges, construction zones, and weather-affected areas before you reach them. Especially valuable during lake-effect snow events along I-90.

Construction and Work Zones

OHGO maps all active construction and work zones with:

  • Lane closures and shifts
  • Reduced speed limits
  • Duration and expected completion
  • Detour routing when available

Weather Conditions

Road weather information including:

  • Pavement conditions
  • Visibility reports
  • Weather advisories
  • Snow emergency declarations by county

OHGO Public API

OHGO offers a public API (v1.3, February 2025) with 9 endpoints that provide the same data available in the app. The API is free to use with a public domain license.
